How do I grade an assignment?

Note: Auto-graded Practice activities, assignments and tests are automatically graded by the system. Only writing and speaking Practice activities and Tests need manually grading.

The activity will appear on your home page tabs - To Do list, calendar and recent activity

Step 1: Against the activity you can choose. See report. You will be taken to the Assignment report screen.

Step 2: On the report screen you will see a list of the students and clearly see which students have submitted the work for grading, which have not been submitted and which ones you have already marked.

Step 3: Clicking on Mark for a student will take you to the Grading assignments page.

Step 4: In the grading screen, you can view or listen to the student’s submission.

Writing tasks – Optionally you may highlight sections of the text and give feedback to a student. Click one of the categories from the notes categories using the mouse or finger (on tablets) highlight one or more sections of the text and write any comments in the Notes section. You can do this multiple times for different categories.

Step 5: For writing and audio-submit you may allocate an assignment grade at the bottom of the screen, type in a score for the student’s work and make any general comments. Then click Submit report. On confirmation, the grade and report will now be available to the Student and be visible in the Gradebook.
